A Better Mouse Trap?

I was thinking about how I could have prevented my waste basket from being taken. First, I would have tied a rope around the waste basket as a decoy. Then when the person that took my waste basket sees the sign and the rope, they would think "What's that going to do". Then they would pick up the waste basketwhich would trigger two huge mallets to swing down from the ceiling smashing the person like a little fly. BAM! It's genius.

Of course, there are the minor little details like where am I going to find two huge mallets and how much time do I really want to spend setting this up. I'm going to have to hire contractors and sub contractors. Then I'd have to figure out how to release the mallets when the basket is lifted from its spot. Then I'd have to figure out how to do all this without anyone seeing anything. And if I actually do pull it off and it does get the person, I'd have to hire a lawyer for my defense. I'd probably do time in the slammer... You know what. Just forget you saw this post.

I just miss my waste basket. :-(
