If you're using Ubuntu (Linux) and Flash, you may have noticed lately that your Youtube videos are crashing.

Not embedded videos, or videos on other sharing sites they all seem fine, but something with Youtube's new layout causes the annoying "Adobe Flashplayer" has crashed message

Details on the bug can be found http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1699227

Thanks to andrew.46 who solved the problem for me.

The trick it to disable the hardware acceleration in the Adobe Settings. Getting the Adobe Settings to be enabled is also tricky, but can be done by right-clicking the "Show Test Video" site at http://www.youtube.com/my_speed#

Then click on the appropriate hardware settings icon and uncheck "enable hardware acceleration"
