What is PayPal?

PayPal, owned by eBay, is a global online payment system. PayPal is a convenient, easy-to-use, and secure way for individuals and businesses to send and receive money online for goods, services, charitable donations, and so forth. It's also a full-service operation that provides front-end and back-end solutions to increase growth and revenue for merchants.

It's always free to send payments using your PayPal account; however, PayPal members with a Business or Premier account are charged a low transaction fee for receiving payments. For more information, consult the fee schedule.

Paypal lets your setup online stores and donation links on your website to easily recieve income from others. It also has billing and payment tools that let you 'invoice' others for services rendered.

Note: In Canada it can take 5-6 business days to transfer funds from your bank to your paypal and vice-versa. However, you can also enter your credit card details in Paypal for payments which allows for immediate payments.
